If you have ordered a new Zikula website, it will generally come to you fully installed and ready for you to put your content into. Here is a quick list of normal startup options;

Get Admin Access


Basic Settings

Admin System Modules

  • Install "myfunc" module
  • Install "docs"module
  • (Install "MultiHook" module)

Admin System Setting

  • Set "Docs" as main module
  • Enter Site Name and Slogan
  • Enter Key words for site
  • Backend language = English (Australian)

Edit Main Menu

  • Unclick "modules" option

Admin Content Admin Messages

  • Delete default admin message

Admin Users Users Manager Settings

  • Configure as required

Choose a Theme

The normal process for setting up a web site is to choose an existing theme (that does most of what you want) and then modify it to suit your purposes. To start with, choose ANY theme close to what you are after. As you start to build you web site, your specifications will change as you see the site grow.
